Partial Differential Equations with Neural Networks

  • Beta Sigma Club online (map)

ETH Zurich, a university for science and technology dates back to the year 1855 when the founders of modern-day Switzerland created it as a centre of innovation and knowledge. At ETH Zurich, students discover an ideal environment for independent thinking, and researchers a climate which inspires top performance. Situated in the heart of Europe, yet forging connections all over the world, ETH Zurich is pioneering effective solutions to the global challenges of today and tomorrow.

Neural networks are increasingly used to construct numerical solution methods for partial differential equations. In financial markets, some partial differential equations are used, but because of the amount of data, it is challenging to solve them. Hereby, machine learning is necessary. At this event, you will get introduced to some approaches how to solving these equations with neural networks, which you will use in practice later in the evening.

The Beta Sigma Club is a student society that aims to bridge the gap between science and financial markets. We aim to create the next generation of Quants by letting students creatively and critically engage with financial markets.
